Week 34

I'm doing this week's inbetween my catch up.

I thought Russet would be a really difficult colour to do but whilst clearing through my inventory I found this lovely dress from Cupcakes. Unfortunately I'm not sure if it's a group gift or for sale or whatnot so I'd advise having a nosey around the store

My hair is a new release from Exile, it's so classic and looks really lovely, I'd advise getting a demo and checking it out on yourself!

An Unmellow Yellow Store Project, #5

"I'm just mad about Saffron and she's just mad about me"

This week's 52 WoCC was MADE for me! So to honour the lovely Luna Jubilee I decided to nosey around bang! poses' new store build which is awesome!

I dressed down to keep with the rustic feel of the location which is rural and so green, it's perfect to take photos around. Luna has really outdone herself.

I just adored the weasels that happily roam around the land as well, I love weasels, stoats and ferrets so having a sit down to watch really appealed to me.
Luna is incredibly talented it her pose making which I've blogged here and I'm looking forward to the changing faces of bang! and I'm only diappointed that I didn't blog her last build!

Surf's Up

Week 24 is Raspberry Glace, brilliantly bang! poses released a surfing freebie and the colour of the surf board matches perfectly!

I've been whining for ages about peter pan collars being non existant in SL and LaGyo have released one for The Dressing Room, I'd love to find one that can rest on clothes so I can have cutesy collars with all my clothes!

My skin is Glam Affair from TDR, the yellow eyeliner isn't for everyday wear in my opinion but that's what makeup layers are for! I adore the lips on the skin, as they're not trout pouty and smooth and even.
The dress is coldLogic for CHIC2 and comes in multiple colours, I just loved the pinky blush of this dress teamed so carefully with a soft blue.

ReDecorating for Week 23

I've had to redecorate post-party because for enough prims I had to remove half the innards of my house!
Now week 23 is Pistachio and I'm betting EVERYONE has chosen this gorgeous coldLogic romper suit so I'm not going to wax lyrical about their fab creations but I'm gonna natter about my housing!

I buy most of my decorations and seats from LISP, in world and at their marketplace they have 10L sale items all the time and that what I adore, the poses are dated, obviously due to the fact they're retired items but they are beautful and very low prim which I love!

I love the little accessories some come with, such as this guitar the actions for it are ace. And yes, I know, deckchairs belong outside but I like to be a bit quirky with my decor!

I changed romper suits for my new outdoor furniture, the sun cream is another cute accessory that the furniture comes with!
This romper suit is a subscribo gift from Hucci, as it's free there's no worries but if you do plan on buying items from Hucci do try their demos first if they have them as they don't go by standard sizing.

Oh Maytime

She could really get used to this weather where a soft breeze flows through the tree's branches and the sun  beats gently down on her cheeks, the season where legs come out and and light and floaty material can be worn.
Playing out in the snowy garden is a long forgotten memory now games of tag replace snowball fights and rolling in the soft long grass is warmer than making pretty snow angels!

Week 17 and I've moved house!

So yay, I decided to take the plunge and get a bigger piece of land with more prims, so yeah I'm groovin my ass at my new house

I couldn't figure what to have as week 17's shuttle gray so I hunted the marketplace (and bitched that it NEEDS a colour filter search option) and found these sexy heels!

A Not Very Suitable for Work Week 16

My bright turqoise has turned into a dull turquoise due to the WL settings I used but I rather like these shots, it's been a while since I've done boobie shots too!!

I think Saffie just echoes how I feel right now, sombre and thoughtful, slightly lonely...

One day I'll get me some mesh prim feet that will make these shots look much better!

On Location, Store Project #3 visits Week 13

I sat down to blog last Sunday, wondering what colour of Tea Green I could pick out of my inventory, at that moment my fiance ran in the house asking for the number for the local police. It turns out whilst he'd been walking the dog he was chatting on the phone to his mum and some boys cycled past, grabbed his phone (and eye) and stole his phone. Understandably we were all quite shaken up by this and add this along side my dissertation, 4 other essays and depression and our heads just spiralled.
So this is late...

I put this 52 WoCC along side another On Location, this week I visted Lindsay Pinelli's store "Little House of Curios" after she mentioned having a waterfall on Plurk! Little House of Curios sells little bits and bobs of cute, low prim, superbly made furniture!
I loved the decor outside, the flowers surrounding the trees are so simple and quaint, they worked really well with my early spring/summer look that I put together!

I really should've got a picture of the waterfall but here's a close up of Saff about to take a dive!

On Location, Store Project #2 & Week 12

Another on Location post which I've mixed with the 52 weeks of Colour Challenge, this week's colour is St. Patrick's Blue (take your pick between my jacket or skirt!)

I've chosen the Dressing Room and the Dressing Room Blue for my location this week, I think there's something very classy about a landscape that epitomises spring, though it looks very simple I love the quirky trees and the houses colours are very fresh.

Week 10 ~ The Forbidden Forest

(Quick OOC - week 10's colour is avocado)

She couldn't remember why she was doing this... was it a dare, was she cursed, or did she just feel a bit daring? Regardless of why she did it she felt brave... maybe the warmth flooding through her was bravery and not the potion she thought someone had slipped into her drink.

Peering above her, the gates towered high, blocking the entrance.. unlocked and so she pushed gently, the gates swung noiselessly to gape forbodingly in front of her.

Scuttling past the gates, her feet left telling tracks... no one came here so hopefully snowfall would cover them, she thought.
The sign stood, plain and stark, the word forbidden seemed darker and more terrifying yet she pushed on

and once you break the rules, there's no looking back... well maybe one last look..

A Dandy Week (9)!

Let me just get your faces and rub it in it for a moment, I'm just reaching the end of a 5 day weekend! And let me just say: Thursday was GLORIOUS! For winter weather it hit 15-17 degrees celsius and I went out in some lovely summer wear!
So as week 9's colour for the 52 weeks of colour challenge was Dandelion I decided, stuff winter let's hurry to springs and summers!!

Week 8 ~ Dark Raspberry

I love the word raspberry, it's supposed to be pronounced razz-berry which makes me think of making fart noises by blowing on someone's tummy (aka Razzing) but I pronounce it Rasp-berry, like it's spelt and rasp makes me think of going pthhhhhpt! (:p)

Anywho, I was very glad that I waited to do my week 8 of the 52 weeks of colour challenge as all the new releases of coldLogic came out (yes I know I don't like doing new releases but as a challenge this counts PLUS I included freebies hehe) so I decided to use all the gorgeous purple shades as everyone has an opinion on which shade is Dark Raspberry and I am NEVER one to match the swatch hehe!

A Morning of Folly - 52 WoCC Week 7

Sunday mornings were always a toughie she thought to herself as she lay in bed. Saturdays consisted of the interhouse quidditch match and usually much late night celebrations or grumblings depending on who won. For some unknown reason the breakfast still began at 6am when everyone had had a late night...
Ok, maybe not everyone, the ickle firsties were always in bed before 9.
So there she lay in bed contemplating getting up for breakfast... the 6th and 7th years wouldn't be up by now, their heads would be too heavy after all the butterbeers they'd snuck back from Hogmeade

ok, that decided it, she pulled her lethargic form out of bed and with a huge stretch she looked around blearily for something to wear..

She loosened her hair from it's bun and let the long waves tumble down over her red sweater and pulled on yesterdays overalls, tucking them inside the jumper. Shoes... shoes....

Incidentally Folly is one of the colours for my wedding, goes perfectly with bright green!

With a slight laugh she slipped on some ridiculously high pink shoes that she had brought with her for partys and such like before deciding that she would get docked a good few house points with these shoes on and made a mental note to send them back to mother with the next owl she received.

Hearing the clock chime 6 she pulled on some heavy boots, suitable for the cold weather and her cloak and ran full pelt down the staircase, nearly losing a foot in one of the steps that always disappeared every time she was on her way down stairs...

It took her a moment or two to realise that none of the hall or food was in focus and with a grumble accio'd her glasses to her... damn being sleepy!

52 Weeks of Colour Challenge - Week 6

It's sunday again! Hogsmeade has been and gone so she's just left with a lazy Sunday filled with hurried homework in front of the fire in the Common Rooms, the only issue being if you need a book one would have to go to the library which is FREEZING (and she means freezing!). Wrapping up warm was the best option, she shrugged on her warm cardigan and pulled up her thick socks, a nice floaty skirt in alice blue seemed to finish off the ensemble... oh yes geek chic she could do... probably a bit more geek than chic though some would say!

Her blouse was probably a bit thin but winding up the tye for her cardigan she shrugged and decided no one would notice that, so she headed off to the library to find books for her herbology homework... or was it Defence Against the Dark Arts?! She reminded herself that during the NEXT hogsmeade visit she would pick up a diary to note down her work in..!

A bit o' 52 weeks and a bit o' H: YS

I've joined a new roleplay sim called Hogwarts: Your Story, it's based on the Harry Potter novels but 21 years on from the books. The sim is absolutely gorgeous and this is a quick picture of Ravenclaw tower with Saff being a member of Ravenclaw house. The sim is members only at the moment but The Alley Shoppes can be accessed by everyone for uniforms and the like!

So it's come to week 4 of the 52 weeks of colour challenge and this week's colour is iron, now Luna's iron is quite pale whereas I see iron being a dark silvery-grey
So my iron contribution is this tee-shirt dress and ma silvery school shoes!

Also, below, is one of my new weekend dresses as during the week and in classes at Hogwarts full uniform is required but I thought I'd go shopping for some tasteful dresses and some nice warm socks!
So Many Styles is having a sale so I thought I'd get some pretty outfits from there. I particularly adore the beautiful emerald dress, the ruffles and high neck make it less "sexed up" than most of the clothes on SL and hopefully make me look more like a 14 y/o!

52 Weeks of Colour Challenge - Week 3

This is belated by a few days, 1. because it was a tricky colour to pin and 2. I've had exams and essays etc. etc. also family over at the weekend, many many excuses!

So I found one outfit, then found something else in my inventory and so decided to combine it all and hope it was Electric Indigo! I could have used one of my fae dresses but I'm trying to be more human now and again!

52 Weeks of Colour Challenge - Week 2

Week 2 brings us coral, and in all honesty coral is one of my least favourite colours, it's up there with peach and brown. Originally I was going to use my favourite skin as it has a beautiful coral coloured lipstick to it, it's quaint, flawless and suptuous... then while trawling my inventory I found some nice blushers which added to the overall corally tone

I knew I owned one sweater which is coral in colour but saw someone else used it, call me sad but I wanted to do something that I hadn't seen someone else use (seeing after is fine but not before!)
I also debated using the lovely coral Hucci shoes I blogged a few days ago but thought that slightly cheeky

So what should I find when sorting my dresses into colour groups than this soft, summery coral dress (yes yes I know it's winter still!)
