Grace

She gracefully descended to the ball room, the gentle lighting highlighted her beautiful jewels the draped elegantly around her collar bone.
Batting her smoky lashes she scanned through the myriad of dancers looking for the tall, gainly gentleman whose hand met hers the evening before. His smile had made her heart flutter inside her chest like it hadn't done in many years.

Unable to notice him amongst the revelers she lightly stepped away from the ornate, gilt staircase and smoothed down her expensive satin dress, ready to wait.
The eyes of many rich and handsome men met hers, offered their hands to take a turn on the floor with her but politely declining she waited.

The band struck up a beautiful, gentle, soft tune. She knew that this was the penultimate song and she sighed gently, lowering her eyes to the parquet flooring. Readying herself to ascend the stairs alone she felt a touch on her shoulder, she whirled around. Laughing eyes met hers and her beautiful face shone as he took her hand in his own and took her to dance.

The dress is another stunning piece by 22769 which is a new "materials" dress, like Mesh however when the viewers update it will have wrinkles, folds and will shimmer like silk. I, for one, cannot wait to see this!

Controversy

Within Second Life there's always going to be some form of drama, controversy or whatever. (See the most recent SL secrets as proof!)

Because of this it can be incredibly difficult to portray what you're not without causing someone offence. For example, this beautiful saree warrants, in my opinion, Eastern jewellery.
I would love to wear a bindi, jhoomer or a matha-patti but because I'm so afraid of treading on people's toes I'm too reluctant to experiment,
I don't know all the connotations and background of each piece and it's not nice to have to worry about being criticised if I did choose to wear them.

I could do research and I could ask more knowledgeable friends for advice but I don't want to detract from the fun of blogging and the fun of putting an outfit together that I feel comfortable in.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not criticising or chastising people for having pride in their heritage and knowledge, I'm just asking for lenience. I'm also not picking on people of Eastern heritage, it's just gorgeous saree I picked to blog!

Thankfully not many people read my blog so hopefully I won't cause too much offence by voicing my opinion.

All I'm trying to say is that people need to really lighten up. It's a virtual world and we just want to play dress-up!!

Brightening up my garden

Zinnias has got some beautiful items out over Easter.

 This bright and bold day bed has multiple poses and cutesy accessories like this magazine, a cup of coffee and a diary! You can find it at the Spring Fling Hunt & Market

This crackling chimnea is also from Zinnia's for Easter and ok, so it doesn't match my day bed, but it's bright and cheerful!

Classy evening out

This is quite possibly the best item I've ever seen from 22769, the detailing on the Chinese silk styling is absolutely stunning and the mesh falls perfectly. The dress is for 11am at Fair

I bought these shoes from the *G Field* hallowe'en sale (orange and black items half off) for 100L and they come with a touch menu which changes the buckle, strap styles and sole colour. For not being mesh they are rather nifty and can be adapted for any outfit.

Autumn's Calling

Autumn's here! The leaves are falling and warm wear is IN!

But warm shouldn't mean drab or dull!
This gorgeous skirt from 22769 is their contribution to The Gallery Gift Shop and has all of the stunning shades of autumn!

I teamed it with E!'s August group gift (still available, group join fee). I can see this shade of blue being in this season and echoed in RL and SL

British Summer

British summers are all the same, so with a sigh she threw on the heavy jumper for the cold of the morning...

Though through the morning the sun began to push through the clouds so pulling off her sweater she reached into her trunk to find a nice casual tee

In the end though, even that was too hot so she pulled off the tee to appreciate the sun in her bum skimming hot pants

It's back!

Fifty Linden Friday is back! It's probably it's first time gracing this blog but I am happy to see it back!!
It's a round up of the old faithful's with today's FLF, I'm not complaining as some new ones have been thrown in!


A bit of an alter ego look as Wasabi Pills provided a blonde and brunette hair, I will probably get the brunette later and attempt a tinting!
The boots are FAB they are so me and as they're mesh they flex with any pose instead of giving my feet a stiff look, they're from DECO, another of my favourite FLF regulars.

I bought Cheeky Pea's lemonade stand, cute poses though not great for skirts! The seat is meant to go behind the stall but I don't feel that showed off the poses well!

The glasses and makeup are from Adore and Abhor and they are AWESOME!!
I love how the sunglasses make you look sad and without the sunglasses the lips look just as awesome, the black eyeliner and eyebags are so cute too, the drawn look is so rare in SL!

The Dress and Shrug are by 22769 for Summer Fashion Festival and are stunning as usual, I love how you can really see the work that goes into them and the gradient of red to pale pink is brilliant!

I blog therefore I am

I am loving the pose that aDORKable has set out for free, aimed at bloggers well.... the pictures say it all!

New! Gorgeous bangles from 22769 for The Silk Road Hunt; another gorgeous release from my two favourite guys on SL, the jewellery is well textures and hangs well on the wrist. And a dress from la petite morte for 50L, it's one of a collection of colours all 50L each and I love the ruched effect! thankfully my boobs are small so fit the XS quite well and I love the length!

Tinting feet... nailed it! my feet are from Gaeline Creations for 380L. They are gorgeous, you can change the skin tone, nails, nail design and tattoos, only problem is you can't enter the RGB values to the HUD but it is relatively easy to use as it has lots of presets that you can choose from and then alter the + or - of the red green and blue values. Fiddly but very good and well made feet!

Addicted to hair! New hair from elikatira (return) for 250L. Gorgeous and mesh it has a HUD to change the hair.

Watching the sun set

The beautiful day was ending and after lounging in the sun she paddled into the shallows to watch the sun dip it's fiery head below the waves

I love the dress by 22769, it hangs so perfectly off the hips and I'm sure it would look awesome with some skinny jeans or leggings as day wear!
I hope it's available in other colours and the striped pattern reminds me of the union flag (hint hint!)

 ~ Well I dabble in this and that, I roleplay mainly I moved from fae to hogwarts student. I make poses, shapes and I blog and fug! yay!

~ A toughie, I think anywhere with friends is the best place.. I think the Accio sim is stunning though!

~ I became a blogger that more than just my close friends had heard of! So probably joining plurk!

3. If you could change one thing about sl what would it be and why?
~ The copybotting, I think it's depressing, it's hurtful and it impacts on people's lives and livelihoods! I would get rid of it full stop, any hint of it and banned and booted forver IP banned, end of.

4. do you collect anything in sl? if so what?
~ Not including clothes... i like earrings and garden furniture, I have a gorgeous home but I adore my garden so I have endless garden stuff to make me happy!

5. whats your favourite thing you own in sl?
~ Right now..... probably my little piece of land!

Oh Maytime

She could really get used to this weather where a soft breeze flows through the tree's branches and the sun  beats gently down on her cheeks, the season where legs come out and and light and floaty material can be worn.
Playing out in the snowy garden is a long forgotten memory now games of tag replace snowball fights and rolling in the soft long grass is warmer than making pretty snow angels!

One is a lady who lunches

So lunch dah-links, always an important occasion especially if one is a lady of one's class! So throing together an outfit fit for a black and white ball but my hair.... maybe my hair is too informal... so I gave it another style which just did.not.go

The classic white dress, better than the LBD because it's flawless and crisp but my shoes would now not go, flawless and black and white heels just do NOT go my dears! Unfortunately the shoes I laid my eyes upon were orange and, well you see, I had to wear them having never worn them before!

So I had to throw together another outfit with s snazzy little bag... well... let me tell you, can you imagine my horror when I realised it was well past lunch and reaching time for suppah.... so I made it at least to suppah my dears!

Meet the girls!

So I thought I'd try my hand at making shapes, I wanted to make different varieties but I really love curvy girls and thanks to Mesh standard sizing it's become much easier to dress and style curvy gals in styles without having to edit and resize prims!

So first say hello to Kitty, she's got a gorgeous hourglass shape with a sweet face and a quirky look about her (see below for styling credits)

Next we have Lana, with a slim, athletic shape while still retaining her curves she has a simple boyish body and a sultry face.

Finally, Lilly is possibly my favourite, she's a mixture of afro-carribean and latino, she works well with any shade of darker skin. She also has a lovely hourglass shape and a a sexy face!
