On Safari

coldLogic has some new releases and I loved this dress so much, it had a great safari theme to it and when I found the earrings from Ozzie's at The Dressing Room Fusion they were perfect.

Unbeknownst to me the theme for this rounds collabor88  is Safari which was perfect when I found some cheap shoes from my new favourite Pure Poison!

In the past I never stuck to one skin maker, I would always find free or cheap skins that I liekd and would wear whatever I felt would suit the day. However, since someone told me about The Skinnery I seem to have stuck with them for nearly 2 years so imagine my delight when I got a notice saying two skins were being retired and so discounted at 150L each. Even better when I found out that one of the skins is my favourite "Iris" which I had grabbed a few from The Arcade

I really love the lips and the nose on this skin because I do find it difficult to find a skin that suits my nose!

A colour splash

Sweaty palmed with a butterfly stomach all ready for a spring date

A splash of colour always makes a girl memorable!

I really love the new hair by spellbound, it comes in rigged and unrigged mesh, the rigged mesh comes with a colour change hair scarf however the rigged version wouldn't fit me unless my head was a stupid size - unsure how other people got around that. I'm obviously wearing the unrigged version and it is lovely but I was sad to miss out on the scarf

The book and classic Disney movie "Alice in Wonderland" is a classic in so many respects.
My family home is around the corner from the birthplace of Charles Dodgeson (Lewis Carrol) based on a tall tale told on the Isis to the Other Alice. The tale he told to Alice and her sisters became a respected, world renowned book.

Controversy

Within Second Life there's always going to be some form of drama, controversy or whatever. (See the most recent SL secrets as proof!)

Because of this it can be incredibly difficult to portray what you're not without causing someone offence. For example, this beautiful saree warrants, in my opinion, Eastern jewellery.
I would love to wear a bindi, jhoomer or a matha-patti but because I'm so afraid of treading on people's toes I'm too reluctant to experiment,
I don't know all the connotations and background of each piece and it's not nice to have to worry about being criticised if I did choose to wear them.

I could do research and I could ask more knowledgeable friends for advice but I don't want to detract from the fun of blogging and the fun of putting an outfit together that I feel comfortable in.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not criticising or chastising people for having pride in their heritage and knowledge, I'm just asking for lenience. I'm also not picking on people of Eastern heritage, it's just gorgeous saree I picked to blog!

Thankfully not many people read my blog so hopefully I won't cause too much offence by voicing my opinion.

All I'm trying to say is that people need to really lighten up. It's a virtual world and we just want to play dress-up!!

In Venice, the beautiful city, the sinking city.

How would she have known that a masquerade would be formal? Black and white yes, but formal?

Straightening her tuxedo jacket she tottered away in the hope of a gondola spotting her.... yet this late in the afternoon in the backwater alleys she had to keep walking.

With a sigh she carried on, her head held high, and walked towards the Campanile de San Marco and prayed she remembered the winding route to her hotel.
She was sure it was around here somewhere...

This lovely tuxedo jacket (and dress) is a free group gift, I love the design of it and it teamed perfectly with the necklace I wanted to blog (also a cheapie).
A few points to make about the dress, however, be aware it only comes in three sizes, considering it's free there's no need to demo but it's disappointing if you really like it and it won't fit your shape.
Another point, the rigging is good however in certain poses my arms do poke through the sleeves and the padded shoulders aren't complimentary for the more energetic poses.

So I decided to warm up a bit in my new sweater (tulip) and scarf (pesca) from the arcade

I have to say, I love this skin I got from the Arcade it's the skinnery and it's called winter and I love the pink nose and cheeks, I wore it with MONS sunny smoke eyeshadow (from the new dressing room fusion)
